The successful candidate is likely to have previous experience in a similar technology field based role; though might easily consider someone currently in an internal sales position ready to move into the field. Our client, European lessor, is currently seeking an experienced relationship manager to build and maintain excellent relationships with both new and existing vendor, dealer and broker partners to deliver best in class programme delivery whilst maximising volumes and profitability. The successful candidate is likely to have a minimum of 5 years previous experience in a similar field-based role. Knowledge of the materials handling, construction, transportation and engineering sectors preferred, with a strong understanding of supporting dealership/distributors. Requires someone with a significant degree of self-motivation and tenacity, in influencing customer decisions and empathising with such decisions. Ability to present, negotiate and develop close relationships whilst maintaining a clear focus on targeted objectives. Working in conjunction with sales support, internal account managers and Head of Sales. Good credit risk skills required to be able to present deals and manage challenges when required. Our client, already well established in the Agri market, is looking to recruit an area manager to manage and develop their agriculture channel, specifically through utilisation of inventory finance via key dealer/manufacturer relationships on a national basis and deliver the required business results. The ideal candidate will be expected to have a desire and aptitude in generating, developing and driving new business opportunities whilst managing existing relationships, maintaining a strong reputation for excellent service levels. A high level of manufacturer and dealer management experience is desired, making best use of point-of-sale tools and direct initiatives to generate retail business in line with targeted objectives. As an external area manager, this role will have continual contact with both internal and external customers therefore the ability to build relationships and prioritise work will be key to their success as will the ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding whilst maintaining a clear focus on the objective. Assist the Sales Team with strategy ideas and the publication of targeted campaigns throughout the year. Attend sales meetings where you will be required to review performance from the previous month and provide forecasts for the following month. Ensure that all Lease, Hire-Purchase and Conditional Sale proposals are correctly and thoroughly investigated and processed from the first proposal stage to the final payment.
