Major lessor, global and dynamic business, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager for their Industry Finance team. The role involves identifying, acquiring, developing, and managing new business within the hard asset sector, specifically targeting the Construction, Transportation, and Manufacturing Equipment markets. This position emphasises developing new relationships with introducers and customers while managing existing accounts. It is a home-based role requiring frequent travel across the UK to support clients through a mix of in-person and remote meetings. The individual will work closely with the Sales Manager and the team to generate new business, meet sales targets according to goals and strategy, and manage risks. The role includes providing sales and product training within allocated accounts to enhance product knowledge and increase leasing penetration. Candidates must be self-driven, motivated, and focused on achieving results.

European lessor has this newly created role, working with the head of marketing to develop a messaging hierarchy to support a strong vision statement. This will provide clear messages for corporate and business messaging for the individual sales areas. Responsibility to develop and oversee marketing and communications programmes to support the delivery of business objectives and support the drive for business growth through effective marketing initiatives for its 4 key sales areas. These will be targeted and prioritised in line with the businesses strategic plans to agreed external audiences and introducer / broker partners and dealer customers. The role will manage external communication channels such as the company website, advertising, media relations and social activities and is intended to promote the brand image and create, build and maintain a positive profile with our external stakeholders and wider UK marketplace. Engagement activities with our Introducers are intended to build and maintain positive relationships with our introducer partners. Activities will include the preparation and execution of communications such as service updates, helpful business information and financial promotions.
Relationship Managers - Broker-Introduced (Field Based)

Major client, with strong position in the broker-introduced marketplace, has two newly created field-based roles. Build and maintain excellent strong relationships with key brokers and larger brokers via regular visits to ensure a steady flow of business and to generate required sales volume. Identify and acquire new clients, leveraging existing networks and industry contacts. Reporting directly into their Head of Broker. Proactively follow up on leads to discuss financing requirements, negotiate pricing and close the sale. Act as the primary point of contact for brokers with larger value deals (£500k+). Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to network with existing and potential brokers and clients, with the aim to support the relationships and to stay informed about market trends. This field-based role will have contact with both internal and external customers. Needs strong presentation skills, and a good knowledge of credit risk, deal structuring and negotiation.

Stay up to date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity to identify opportunities. Seeking good knowledge of credit risk, deal structuring and negotiation, performance monitoring and reporting, with strong collaboration and coordination. Good hybrid options - with having to attend the office only twice a week.

Part of a comprehensive European strategy, and an exciting time to be involved with their expansion. Seeking experienced new business developers, targeting medium and large clients with annual financing needs of at least £1m. You will be key in managing your own growth and business direction. Using your existing knowledge, experience and contacts to identify, prioritise and target potential key customers. Being highly networked, by developing close relationships at senior levels to build long lasting partnerships. Often managing complex and structured transactions, you will work collaboratively with an outstanding credit risk team, with the assistance of other support functions. Good pricing and negotiation skills, and being comfortable with credit risk/documentation (confident in presenting to risk committees in need) is therefore essential.
