Part of a well-established Bank, with an exciting newly created position within Asset Management. This lessor needing greater resources to support business growth and their increasing portfolio of assets. Reporting to their Asset Manager, this will be a varied role, in managing Asset Management risk across the whole of their leasing portfolio throughout the full loan cycle. Responsibilities will include instructing their panel of third party inspection agents and auditors to ensure reports are completed. Liaising with selling agents to dispose of end of lease assets; and issue valuation requirements to external valuers. Working closely with other teams to assist with the Credit decision process, and handle any portfolio management queries. Checking asset inspection reports and escalating any discrepancies. Completing remote video asset inspections, maintaining progress tracker spreadsheets to ensure completion of audits and inspections. Liaising with auction houses and remarketing agents. Keep their catalogue of end of lease assets for sale updated; maintaining a directory for insurance documents. Ideally seeking someone with a background in Asset Management, but very happy to consider applicants with a Sales Support, Collections or similar leasing support background and able to use transferable skills. All necessary training will be provided, but given the type of responsibilities, and the level of asset monitoring and reporting, the right candidate is likely to be analytically minded and already have good intermediate to advanced Excel skills.      

 

Senior Asset Manager (Hard Assets), Home Based

Reporting directly into their Head of Asset Management, a senior position working alongside an existing experienced Asset Management Team to support considerable growth plans with new proposals and managing maturing leases within this lessors UK portfolio. Work closely with sales teams and vendor partners for new business and in reaching positive end of term outcomes. Participate as an active senior member, deputising and providing leadership and coaching as needed across key functions. Main focus on hard assets (transportation, construction, industrial & agricultural assets). Department have full responsibility for independently setting residual values; managing, monitoring, and mitigating this RV risk through the life of the portfolio. Asset Valuation; Portfolio Management; End of Term Operations; Remarketing;  Lease Extensions and Oversight & Control. You will keep up to date with current market trends for new and used assets and stay ahead of emerging sectors, including the move to greener technologies. You will be keen to generate innovative ideas for RV-based funding. Home based position, but needs occasional access to their offices based in SW London.

 

Asset Manager, London (with Hybrid Working)

City based Capital Investment company seeking an experienced Asset Manager, to manage a mature portfolio of various assets leased to Public Sector and Corporate customers. Commercial vehicles through to medical assets. Joining a small, highly motivated, well established leasing team. Responsibilities includes quoting/negotiating extension rentals with intermediaries or directly with customers; arranging the inspection, collection, and remarketing of assets; negotiating condition damages; regular risk assessment of the portfolio. Work with the new business teams to advise on residual values or asset valuation/security. Keeping the team up-to-date with evolving technologies (ie electric vehicles), with smarter solutions for digital infrastructure, energy efficiency and the public sector. Explore new channels for disposals. Assist in the preparation of monthly Management Information. Requires at least five years of asset management experience. Need to attend their offices 3 days a week.

Strong longstanding relationships with all of the major Banks/Lessors. They have a very entrepreneurial approach in providing expertise and professional advice, including assistance on inventory, receivables and the built environment. Undertaking valuations across a wide range of assets for various industries including construction, public sector, transportation, energy & utilities, telecoms and technology. They now have an exciting opportunity for someone to join their machinery and business asset valuation team. A newly created position for an individual who already has a good background in leasing and asset finance, perhaps even working within asset management itself, or else having a general understanding of this discipline, and interested in considering a career in valuation and asset sales. Expanding your insight into how to market professional services to clients, build relationships and respond to client issues, working closely with their experienced team and regularly attending on-site meetings/valuations (Nationwide). Will also have the opportunity for international travel. Career support will include ASA/RICS qualification/training. Asset Manager (Hard Assets), Hampshire

Our client, the leasing division of a well-established Bank, is seeking an experienced Asset Manager. Important role to manage their leasing and asset finance portfolio throughout the full asset cycle. Valuating and reporting on asset suitability for new deals, supporting review processes, collections and disposal activities. Utilising your own valuer knowledge to provide price validation and depreciation curves for assets being financed. Collating data to help the bank manage its asset portfolio. Using existing market contacts, assisting in asset disposals, either at end of term or with default situations to maximise returns. Physically attend customer sites, from time to time, to value equipment when required. Ensure valuations and inspections comply with Group policies and procedures. Communicate with Risk, Sales, Operations and other group functions to assist with the credit decision process. Maintain a high degree of ongoing knowledge of primary asset types. Seeking a talented individual, with at least 3 years experience in a similar asset management position. Strong knowledge of the hard asset sector essential.

Remarketing/Asset Manager, Hard Assets (Home Based/Flex on Location)

Our client is seeking an experienced Remarketing and Asset Manager, to develop new partnerships and expanding current channels, in remarketing used equipment sourced from off-lease/finance contracts or repossessed assets. The primary focus will be on the UK, but you will also be able to support and benefit from international remarketing. You will ideally have specific technical knowledge and expertise in Construction, Transport and/or Agriculture assets. Set-up partnerships in line with risk management guidelines, legal/ compliance and other commercial considerations. Developing an extensive database of contacts by researching and analysing sectors to find buyers and new markets. Ability to perform detailed technical asset inspections and provide necessary reports. Seeking a minimum of 5 years’ experience with a strong tactical view. Very flexible on applicants’ location; the individual will need to attend their Southern based offices only occasionally.

Our client, a major international financial services provider seeks an experienced Asset Manager to proactively manage all aspects, from valuing equipment in order to set appropriate residual values, managing the portfolios of assets throughout the life of the asset, as well as optimising end of lease income through either sale, return or the extension of lease agreements. Needing at least 5 years’ experience, with strong knowledge of Transportation (trucks, trailers, bus & coach), Construction, Machine Tools, general Industrial assets. Interacting with their sales teams/other departments, as well as re-marketing specialists, service providers, manufacturers, whilst maintaining strong customer relationships. Build a firm knowledge of assets, structure and external market factors in order to inform and make risk based decisions. Report financial performance, future projections and any potential high levels of risk on the portfolio to the Head of Asset Management. Asset Management Specialist, London

Asset Management is part of their Risk division and the successful candidate will work closely with an existing Asset Manager to assess the value of the assets acquired, set appropriate residual values and manage in-life and end of life asset risk. Requires strong management methods at both asset level and on a portfolio basis. Mainly “hard-assets”, transportation, construction, medical equipment, some bigger-ticket assets, soft-assets when good credits. To ensure that risk management of the assets is achieved throughout the entire term, with this department charged with developing their expertise and provide asset management advice and support for all Sales, Marketing and Credit Management departments. You will therefore have regular direct contact with their client base, with manufacturers, with remarketing partners and with possible buyers. Your internal stakeholders will be Sales, Risk and Recovery.
